I first learned of Captain Ron's on Craigslist. I got the number from his posting, called him and scheduled an appoinment. He came on time and as scheduled and did all that he said he would. I paid him $95.00 service fee. My gear box needed new springs which he happen to have on hand. He only charged me $20.00 for parts and $25.00 for a tune-up. I paid a total of $140.00 to Captain Ron's - it was well worth the cost, he is worth his weight in GOLD!!!
I have only good things to say about him. When I have only questions for him, I call his voice mail, he always calls me right back and answer whatever question I might have.
When he came out to work on my scooter he explained what he where doing as he went along - pointing out this or that, saying you should always keep this thing this way rath er than that way - giving me really good advice towards the up-keep of my scooter. And when the oil change was complete, there wasn't one drop of oil in my carport, he took the old and used motor oil with him, clean and professional all the way.
In addition, Captain Ron was very professional and friendly.
He always refer me to the lowest place to buy parts for my scooter and seem to have a genuine concern for the people he give service too.

I have a Chinese built scooter and it's tough to find a place that will service it. I initially learned about Captain Ron's's Mobile Scooter Repair a few months back via Craigslist but I opted to go with a different scooter repair place in Miami who charged me $50 for pickup and $50 for drop off in addition to the near $200 for a tuneup. This was almost 20% of the cost of a brand new scooter!! He did a great job but I had to go several days without my scooter.
This time I needed service on my scooter I decided to call Captain Ron's. I left a message on his voicemail and got a call back an hour later from Ron to schedule an appointment. Ron came out to my house the next day for a $20 on-site fee and did a complete tune-up on my scooter (new spark plug, oil change, checked and topped off all fluids, checked and aired tires, checked and tightened brakes, adjusted idle) all for only $75 in the convenience of my backyard in about an hour. Ron also showed me what he was doing every step of the way so that I could do some minor maintenance myself if I wanted. All of this for less than the cost of the pick up and drop off fee from the other repair shop, it only took an hour, and I didn't have to leave my house!
I was very happy with the service and I will definitely call him again. I would recommend having some cardboard on hand to throw under the scooter because changing oil and fluids is bound to have a few drips here and there.

Captain Ron is great! I have used him multiple times to repair and tune up the crappy scooter I bought .
He are very fairly priced and come to you. Also, if you need parts he will tell you where to get him and will even get you a great discount code for ordering (you have to order the parts yourself). Recently my transmission gave out and he recommended I purchase a specific one and sent me to a website, giving me a code for a discount that saved me a HUGE amount of money. When the transmission did not work out correctly, he returned quickly and changed some parts for me at no charge. He always explain everything and are really friendly.
I highly recommend him and suggest you call him after you send an email so he know to look out for it. Happy scootering.
